An entrance that is yours alone

The building holds three apartments in all, and each one has its own door to the outside. Yours is reached through the garden: no shared front door, no landings, no neighbours along the corridor. The garden is kept for the apartment for the whole of your stay.

The car right outside

You park on the street, free of charge and with no fees to pay, a few steps from the door. The road is residential and has no through traffic, so you find a space without driving round the block. Handy if you arrive by ferry or pick up a hire car at the airport.

Between the town centre and the beaches

The centre of Olbia is 1,8 kilometres away: three minutes by car, about twenty on foot on level ground. The beaches of the gulf begin at ten kilometres and go as far as fifteen, from Mare e Rocce to Porto Istana. The airport is fourteen minutes away.

About this place

The building contains three apartments in all, and each one has its own entrance: no shared front door, no corridor, no staircase. Yours is reached from the garden, so the key turns once and you are inside. The neighbourhood is residential and has no through traffic, the kind of street where in the evening you hear the wind more than the cars. It is the first thing guests mention in their reviews, along with how easy it is to park.

The living room and the kitchen are two separate rooms: you can really cook, without the smell of frying ending up on the sofa. The kitchen has an oven, a microwave, a hob, a fridge and a dishwasher, plus plates and cutlery to lay the table. The double bedroom is the largest room, with shutters at the windows for anyone who wants a bit longer in bed. The sofa bed in the living room adds two more places. The bathroom has a shower, a bidet and a hairdryer; the whole home is on one level, with a wide hallway.

The garden is private and is kept for the apartment throughout your stay: it is where breakfast happens outdoors, where the swimming costumes dry and where you sit on the evenings you come home early. The air conditioning is independent and doubles as heating in the cooler seasons. There is a washing machine and an iron, which after ten days by the sea count for more than you would think, and for small children a high chair, a travel cot, tableware, books and toys. Long stays are allowed.

You leave the car on the street in front of the house: free parking, no fees and no driving round the block every evening. From here the centre of Olbia is 1,8 kilometres away, three minutes by car or about twenty on foot on level ground, and the airport a little over seven kilometres. The beaches are on the other side: Mare e Rocce less than ten kilometres away, Pittulongu at thirteen, Porto Istana at fifteen. It is the position that suits anyone who wants the sea without giving up what a town has to offer.

A really positive stay. The house is lovely, spotlessly clean and has every comfort. The bedroom is very spacious, with an extremely comfortable XXL bed. The shower is large and works well. The kitchen also has a washing machine and a dishwasher. Piero was very kind and gave us plenty of useful tips on restaurants and beaches to visit. Host and flat both thoroughly recommended!

Our stay in Olbia was wonderful. Piero's place is welcoming and roomy, and it gave us the perfect base for exploring the beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda. Piero was always helpful and kind. He even lent us two beach umbrellas. We would happily come back!

The flat is in a handy spot for visiting the main beaches of the Costa Smeralda and the beaches south of Olbia, around San Teodoro, just 30-40 minutes by car. It has everything you need, air conditioning included, and there is always parking right outside the house!

Piero's little house in Olbia lived up to our expectations. It is very handily placed for reaching all the finest beaches in Sardinia (we had a car). When we arrived the house was tidy and spotlessly clean. The small veranda outside was ideal for drinks before dinner. We hope to come back next year.

A large, roomy flat. Before we arrived Piero sent instructions for getting into the house, a list of restaurants and supermarkets near the flat and a detailed list of beaches, from the closest ones to those dotted around further afield. A great stay. Highly recommended
